Significant features of the ESKA-Bionik®-System:
Based upon modern materials available
today and upon our expertise on osseous
intergration by cementless anchorage we
developed the Hip Surface Replacement
ESKA-Bionik®-System. The main
components are a modular metal shell for
cementless use (metal-on-metal
bearing option) and the Hip Surface
Replacement for cementless use (cemented use
as an option).
-The femoral head is almost conserved
and the femoral neck is conserved.
-Stress-shielding related to load transfer
which/then will result in early aseptic
loosening is significantly reduced because
the femur is naturally loaded.
-Natural joint reconstruction minimises the
risk of luxation.
System extensions are available which allow
a "second line of defense" by considering
the originally planned joint reconstruction.
To restore the joint kinematics in
combination with the clinical proven femoral
neck prosthesis CUT or the Adapter Hip Stem
there are large head diameters available
within the range of products of ESKA-Bionik®-System.
The ESKA-Bionik®-System is
designated for the application considering
young active patients by its bone conserving
technique ensuring improved bone stock
situation for revision case.
