Gary Radtke

LBHR November 19, 2008 Dr. Schultz

I just had my 6 month check up. I'm doing really well. I have been working at the gym 4 to 6 days a week on function fitness, balance boards, rocker board, as well as elliptical and other aerobic machines. I do some outdoor cycling. I'm keeping the intensity down and really working on the stabilization of the entire low body. There is a great PT that works with the Ortho group below, (Craig Richter), he is excellent and has worked with many BHR patients. I also work 10 to 14 hours a day, 7 days a week. I have seen other surgeons since 2003 and had hip issues since 1997, it was probably broken (cracked) in 1982 from a car/bicycle accident. Dr. Schultz sent me to PT Craig Richter in 2006 to learn exercises to preserve my hip muscles and it helped.

I'm cautions and without any pain.

I had a BHR 11/19/08 53 years of age, Waukesha (Metro Milwaukee Wi) Wi by Dr. Timothy Schultz. Dr. Schultz and John S. Rogerson, MD, SC of Madison were the 1st 2 in the state to do these BHR's in 2006.

Dr. Schultz has done about 100 BHR's and a total of 6 surgeons in his group perform them, he has been doing surgery for 20 years, now is mostly does hips and knees. Dr. Schultz was trained to do the BHR by Dr. Derek McMinn in England. Dr. McMinn was in our city doing training a few weeks before my surgery. I know a good amount of people that had the BHR by Schultz and one by Dr. Davies. Dr. Schultz is very conservative and cautious in his approach, great surgeon, honest, and excellent demeanor for me. I'm a technical person and appreciate the way he explains things to me. Some day I will need the right hip done.

I appreciate your website and all the info you provide. I hope this info helps you aid others.
