BHR Dr. Lammens  Sept. 29, 2009

I recently got my hip resurfaced on 10/29/09 by Dr. Peter Lammens in Denver, Colorado. I am 28 years old and was dealing with a lot of pain in my hip due to arthritis as a result of a hip fracture I suffered when I was 13 years old. I was very concerned about my age and the possible down sides of having a THR, so I met with Dr. Lammens and he told me I was a good candidate for a BHR.

I am still healing, but I am walking on my own and am so pleased at how fast I have been recovering. I really enjoyed your age chart because it was nice to see that there are others around my age that have the same procedure.

I would like to be added to your list, so I may also help relive younger people considering hip resurfacing and to get Dr. Lammens name out there. He is a fantastic doctor! Dr. Lammens was recently added to a Top Doctors list in a Denver based magazine (5280 Magazine) for 2009.

Thanks for your hard work in developing a website that helps others in their decision to have a HR procedure and a place for those who have had the procedure to share their story!
