I am so excited about my new hip I can hardly stand it! I had my hip resurfaced in Denver, CO by Dr Michael Dayton. He uses the BHR.

I am 34 years old. 4 weeks post op, and cannot believe I even waited as long as I did to do it! Thank you so much for the time you put into the website....it was a big factor in helping me decide this was the way I needed to go....given my age and all. It is much appreciated! Oh, surgery date was Dec 15th, in case you need it.

I am now 6 weeks, just went to Dr Dayton today, x-rays show my hip is healing well, and had my hip precautions lifted. I am ready to get to work strengthening a lot more now. I return to work in 2 weeks, so am a little nervous about that. I am a nurse on a trauma unit, so am very busy on my feet for 12 hours a day with a decent amount of lifting, etc. Again, I would like to say thank you for all you do on this website. I did at least 6 months of research and asked opinion of about 5 ortho MD's....and spent a lot of time on surfacehippy to come to my decision. Couldn't be happier so far, am walking without the limp that has been with me for 2 years, I do not miss it!
